Hycrete

Hycrete PU-SL is a unique polyurethane concrete product which is applied as a roll coat, slurry or broadcast topping onto concrete floors for protection from water, chemicals and heat.

Hycrete PU-SL having excellent thermal shock resistance is recommended for use where exposure to temperatures up to 120 °C is expected (refer to specification).

Hycrete PU-SL is also the product of choice where maximum resistance to acetic acid, lactic acid and other organic acids is required. Resistance to food acid (eg phosphoric acid) and sanitizing chemicals such as peroxyacetic acid solutions is also excellent.

Strict food safety requirements in New Zealand require floor finishes to be clean and serviceable. It is of paramount importance in many industries that floors do not harbour potentially dangerous bacteria. Hycrete contains antimicrobial Ultra-Fresh technology. Hycrete treated with Ultra-Fresh has been conclusively proven to provide effective resistance to bacteria, fungi, mould and mildew.
The Hycrete range is certified by HACCP Australia as suitable floor surfacing materials for food and beverage facilities that operate in accordance with HACCP based programs.

Hycrete PU-SL is a very hard wearing, aggregate filled cementitious urethane floor topping and may be applied as a high-build roll coat, a self-level smooth finish or a broadcast non-slip finish at thicknesses of 6 up to 9mm to achieve maximum thermal resistance.

Hycrete PU-SL is typically installed at a nominal 6mm thickness and uses a natural quartz aggregate. Recommended substrates are concrete, mild steel and polymer reinforced screeds.
